Does Bill Clinton have Parkinson’s Disease? Rumors sparked surrounding ex-President

A recent video of former President Bill Clinton testifying before Congress reignited speculation about his health after viewers noticed his hands shaking, sparking questions about whether he has Parkinson’s disease.

The footage, released by the GOP-led House Oversight Committee, captured Clinton sitting with his legal team during testimony about his connections to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In one clip, the 79-year-old former president’s hands trembled noticeably as he lifted a cup of water in response to a question from Rep. Nancy Mace. Observers quickly questioned whether the hand tremors signaled a neurological condition like Parkinson’s, which can cause involuntary shaking.

However, Clinton has long dealt with age-related tremors, and this is not new. Reports dating back to January 18, 2013, show that the 42nd President of the United States himself confirmed these shakes are a normal part of aging.

“The first time it happened, I had to go get myself checked to make sure I didn’t have Parkinson’s,” Clinton said. “And I was so relieved I didn’t care how much it shook after that.

“If I had Parkinson’s, I wanted to know so I could prepare. And I had it tested and the doctor said ‘no.’

“He says it’s just a normal aging phenomenon.”

Parkinson’s disease, which many had speculated about, is a progressive neurological disorder affecting movement. It arises when dopamine-producing neurons in the brain degenerate, causing tremors, slow movements, muscle stiffness, balance issues, speech changes, facial masking and other symptoms.

So, although Clinton displayed hand tremors, he and his physician have confirmed they are age-related rather than signs of Parkinson’s.

Bill Clinton denies knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein child sex abuse ring

In addition to health speculation, Clinton also addressed his ties to Jeffrey Epstein in the deposition video posted on X.com, formerly known as Twitter.

He became the first sitting or former U.S. leader in over 40 years to testify before Congress on such a matter, appearing before the House Oversight Committee investigating the financier.

Clinton stated he had ended his acquaintance with Epstein years before Epstein’s crimes came to light.

“Though I never witnessed during our limited interactions any indication with what was truly going on,” Clinton said. “I offered the little I do know in the hopes that it would help prevent anything like this from ever happening again.

“I had no idea of the crimes Epstein was committing. No matter how many photos they show of me, I have two things that, at the end of the day, matter far more than any interpretation of 20-year-old photos.

“I know what I saw, and more importantly, what I didn’t see. And I know what I did, and more importantly, what I didn’t do. I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong.”

During the closed-door deposition in Chappaqua, New York, Clinton was questioned for over six hours, including about photos of him in a jacuzzi released in Epstein-related files. He maintained he never visited Epstein’s private island and claimed he did not know the people he was pictured with, denying any sexual activity.

Democratic representative Suhas Subramanyam told Sky News that Clinton “answered all of our questions” thoroughly.

The testimony is seen as a significant step in congressional oversight and sets a precedent for ongoing pressure on other figures linked to Epstein, such as the current President, Donald Trump.

However, Trump has denied any wrongdoing and emphasized he ended his friendship with Epstein before the abuse allegations emerged.
