Latham pickleball tournament raising money to fight Parkinson’s disease

The first-ever “Stand Up to Parkinson’s” pickleball tournament was taking place on Monday evening at True Pickleball in Latham.

The first-ever “Stand Up to Parkinson’s” pickleball tournament was taking place on Monday evening at True Pickleball in Latham.

The goal is to raise $10,000 for Parkinson’s research and almost all of the player spots are sold.

Intermediate players were playing on Monday, with beginner and advanced players set to play on Tuesday.

The players included NewsChannel 13 anchor-meteorologist Rachel Tiede and sports anchor-reporter Chrystal Stone.
