Students team up to develop glove aiding patients with Parkinson’s disease

ESPAÑOLA — It doesn’t feel like much.

The glove, made by students from Northern New Mexico College and Española Valley High School, emits a gentle pulse to the fleshy pads of the fingertips. It feels a little less intense than the vibration of a cellphone.

For nearly two years, the students have been working together to build the vibrating glove, a therapeutic device intended mitigate symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
