Wantage Mayor Iain Cameron visited the Parkinsons.Me garden

Located in West Lockinge, the garden is part of the charity’s goal of supporting those with Parkinson’s Disease.

Every first Saturday of the month, volunteers come together to maintain the tranquil space, providing respite to the community.

During the visit, Mr Cameron met with Gary and his team, who were carrying out spring gardening tasks, including splitting and replanting shrubs, preparing the ground and also potting up plants for sale.

Parkinsons.Me is one of the Mayor’s chosen charities for the year.

The garden volunteers meet from 10am to 12pm on the first Saturday of each month.

New volunteers are always welcome and anyone interested should visit: www.parkinsons.me/parkinsons-me-regular-events.
