Leslie Grossman bids farewell to her father, Los Angeles renowned attorney Marshall Grossman. Leslie, 51, revealed her father‘s death on Instagram on Wednesday with a beautiful letter on his role as a parent.
She wrote, “We said goodbye to my dad MarshallGrossman after a long battle with Parkinson’s,” the What I Like About You alum wrote. “He was a legend in his work and his philanthropy but he always always always put his family first.I will forever feel grateful and lucky he was my father.”
Along with her heartfelt message, Leslie sent a photo carousel. The first shot showed her kissing her father on the cheek, while successive photos showed her enjoying her family’s happiness. Dinner table smiles, pool time, and even a photo of Leslie dancing with her father at what appeared to be her wedding.In a series of Instagram Stories, the American Horror Story star continued to remember her father. One slide depicted Leslie’s final moments with her father. “Something that has brought me great comfort is knowing that nothing was left unsaid between me and my dad,” she wrote. “He knew how much I loved him and I knew how much he loved me.”
Another slide praised Marshall’s “head of hair” even in his latter years, with Leslie dubbing it the “most incredible head of hair known to man.” She also gave his favourite drink, Crown Royal on the rocks, for those who want to “have one in his honour.”
Marshall passed away earlier this week at the age of 84. He worked with a long number of celebrity clients as well as household corporations during his tenure as a formidable Los Angeles attorney. Marshall’s clientele include Steven Spielberg, Clint Eastwood, J.K. Rowling, Billy Bush, Mariah Carey, Apple Computer, Netflix, and Blockbuster. He also represented Erin Andrews when the sportscaster was photographed naked through a hotel room door without her consent. He obtained a $55 million judgment against the ESPN host.
Another important victory in Marshall’s career came for the Agudas Chasidei Chabad when he obtained the right to recover stolen sacred literature from the Russian Federation during World War II.
Marshall has been named one of the “Best Lawyers in America” by Chambers Global and Chambers USA for over 25 years.
