Days of our Lives star Crystal Chappell has revealed how life has changed following husband Michael Sabatino’s Parkinson’s diagnosis.
Last September, the 59-year-old actress took to X, formerly Twitter, to tell fans that the Knot’s Landing star was doing well following the discovery.
Sharing an update about how things have progressed in the months that have followed, the TV star recently told Swooon: ‘He’s doing well.’
Michael then shared more information about his ongoing treatment, adding: ‘I feel pretty good. I have a really good doctor at Stanford [Medicine]. He’s given me meds that kind of control any type of tremors.’
The 69-year-old revealed the steps he has been taking to manage the disease as he continued: ‘I’m lucky because I’m in really good shape. I’m pretty strong.
‘A lot of people are challenged with balance, so I do a lot of balance exercises.’
He then revealed that he does ‘a lot of yoga with Crystal,’ while the actress noted that living outside of Hollywood has also been helpful.
‘We live in a very beautiful home on the Central Coast. We can see the ocean. It’s calm. It’s laid back. That’s kind of our vibe now,’ she admitted.

Parkinson’s disease, a degenerative neurological condition, has long been thought of as an ‘old person’s disease,’ as it is typically diagnosed in patients over the age of 60.
However, in as many as one in five cases, adults under age 50 are struck with tremors, balance issues, and stiff muscles.
One of the most famous examples is actor Michael J Fox, who was diagnosed with the condition at just 29 years old and hid the battle from the public for seven years.
Crystal met her partner while starring as Carly Manning on Days of Our Lives, while Michael appeared as Lawrence Alamain.
The couple – who have been together for 34 years in total – tied the knot in January 1997.
They welcomed their first son, Jacob Walker, in May 2000, while their second child September 2003.
When sharing the news of Michael’s diagnosis last September, Crystal wrote: ‘Michael has Parkinsons. He just fine Folks. We feel blessed and ready for tomorrow.
‘Meanwhile, to quote him, he makes a “Fine” martini with that right hand…’
