The successful event known as Madhatters Walk for Parkinson’s, was held on July 14 at Y Porth Hotel.
It drew spirited walkers from across Ceredigion and locations as far as London.
Organised to raise funds for the ‘Newcastle Emlyn and Tivyside Parkinson’s Support Group’ and ‘Parkinson’s UK Cymru’, the walk aimed to attract people affected and unaffected by Parkinson’s.
All proceeds will be equally divided between the two charities.
Characterised by the unique tradition of mad hat wearing, the walk featured three guided tours of 30 minutes, two hours and four hours length, all commencing and concluding at Y Porth Hotel.
On finishing, walkers were greeted with a medal, tea party drinks and cakes.
Amelia, a young participant aged five from Wiltshire, was selected among 80 walkers to be the winner of the year’s painting, crafted by artist Rhiannon.
