
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — The Parkinson’s Foundation will host its annual Moving Day South Alabama at 9 a.m. Saturday April 12th at Saad Healthcare in Mobile. The in-person event is one of many community events taking place across the U.S. Funds raised through Moving Day will support cutting-edge research, care and education programs to improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and their families.
Moving Day South Alabama is a celebration of movement and exercise—proven to help manage PD symptoms. At Moving Day South Alabama community members will enjoy a free family fun event that features food, music, a health fair, kid’s zone, fitness demos and a 1/2 mile walk.
Since 2011, Moving Day events across have raised more than $45 million supporting the Parkinson’s Foundation mission to make life better for people with PD.
