The glove, made by students from Northern New Mexico College and Española Valley High School, emits a gentle pulse to the fleshy pads of the fingertips. It feels a little less intense than the vibration of a cellphone.
For nearly two years, the students have been working together to build the vibrating glove, a therapeutic device intended mitigate symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
During an interview Wednesday, May 8, 2024, Northern New Mexico College engineering student Anita DeAguero talks about the development of a glove to aid Parkinson’s patients.
