Clarification on Dean Malenko Undergoing Brain Surgery for Parkinson’s Disease

AEW has a lot of veterans who have benefitted the company in a backstage capacity. That being said, an AEW veteran who has been in the business for a long time underwent brain surgery recently. However, clarification has been provided regarding the brain surgery.

Dean Malenko has been part of the AEW family for the past few years now, where he has been working as a coach. The Man of 1,000 Holds is considered one of the most talented in-ring competitors of all time for good reason.

As previously reported, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross revealed that Dean Malenko had undergone brain surgery in order to combat symptoms arising from his Parkinson’s disease.

In an update, more information regarding Dean’s procedure has come to light. According to a report by PWInsider, Dean Malenko actually underwent the operation towards the end of September. Therefore, he is not currently recovering from the surgery.

Dean Malenko had revealed he was suffering from Parkinson’s disease few years ago as well. Regardless, we are glad to know Dean Malenko did what was needed to help himself and that’s what matters to him.
